The impact of special measures on jury decision-making

This study is interested in how people perceive victims of crime and how they make decisions in situations involving a crime.
Participants are asked to complete a questionnaire that measures their levels of empathy. Then, they are presented with a case study of an assault. They are asked to read it carefully as they will be instructed to make some decisions and answer a few questions

This study has been approved by the University of York's Psychology department ethics committee on February 28th 2017.
